It is important that all Sixth Form students take pride in their appearance. The dress code below outlines what is considered appropriate for a professional working environment and will apply at all times on the college site, unless on a trip or specific, teacher-approved activity that requires different clothing.
YES
- Collared shirts/ polo shirts/ round neck t-shirts
- Smart tops or blouses
- Round neck jumpers/ hoodies/ cardigans
- Chinos/ formal trousers/ tailored shorts
- Skirts/ dresses/ shorts to an appropriate length (Mid-thigh length – Finger tip level when hands are by the side)
- Jackets of any colour suitable for a professional working environment
- Shoes/ boots of any colour suitable for a professional working environment that cover the whole foot
- Sixth Form lanyards must be worn at all times
- * Appropriate Sportswear must be worn for PE lessons
NO
- Inappropriate or offensive text/ imagery/ logos on any piece of clothing
- Jeans/ Denim
- Trousers/ jogging bottoms/ shorts that are considered ‘lounge wear’
- Dropped trousers (showing shorts or trousers underneath school trousers)
- Short skirts, dresses or shorts that are not to the appropriate, mid-thigh length
- Leggings (unless underneath a dress)
- Tops that are cropped and expose the midriff
- Tops or dresses that are strapless, have thin straps or halter style straps
- Sandals/ open toe shoes
