Waingels Mini Marathon

The mini-marathon was our first Community System event and it was great to see students not only display a sense of Pride to represent and achieve points for their Community, but also raise money for three local charities.

A huge thank you for all the donations we have received for the mini-marathon, over 100 students from Year 7 to 9 took part and completed the 2.6miles to help raise a staggering total of £1400 (currently as I write this). The money will be split equally across the three local charities – Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Make a Wish and LaunchPad. Tamsin Grainger from Thames Valley Air Ambulance has expressed her appreciation to everyone who took part and followed on to say that ‘every penny really does help to save lives’.

Well done!
