Best wishes Year 11
On Wednesday 6th May, we said farewell to our Year 11 students as they embarked on the next stage of their journey, with exams beginning the following day. The morning began with a Leavers’ Celebration Assembly, where we reflected on their five years at Waingels, shared heartfelt messages from staff, and celebrated the cohort with a range of student-voted awards. As always, a selection of memorable, and occasionally embarrassing, photos prompted plenty of laughter and nostalgia.
Following the assembly, students gathered in the canteen where our catering team had kindly prepared a breakfast. This provided a wonderful opportunity for friends to spend some final moments together, signing shirts and sharing memories of their time at school. It was a truly special atmosphere, filled with joy, pride, and a touch of emotion as students marked the end of this chapter.
The year group conducted themselves brilliantly throughout the morning and should feel incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. They leave behind a strong legacy and many lasting memories. I would like to wish all of Year 11 the very best of luck in their exams. We look forward to celebrating with them again at the Prom on June 30th and wish them every success in the future. Photographs from this event can be viewed on our website here.
