Year 11 Celebrate Above National Average Results

Waingels is very pleased to report another strong set of GCSE results with all performance indicators being above National Averages again this year.

Overall, Year 11 students at Waingels achieved above national average of a Strong Pass of Grade 5 across all of their subjects with an attainment 8 score of 50.21. Once again our progress score is above national average at +0.58; a further increase on last year's figures of +0.21 demonstrating that students performed on average over half a grade better than students nationally with a similar ability.

Even more students this year achieved a Grade 4+ across all subjects including English and Maths allowing for more students to access their next steps. We are also proud to report that Pupil Premium students performed exceptionally well with 60% of these students achieving English and Maths at grade 4+ and an overall attainment 8 score of 40 and thus achieving an average grade 4 across all of their subjects. These results will have significantly positively impacted the life chances of all students and their ability to study courses of their choice at our Sixth Form and beyond. Once again, Waingels has also achieved very strong results at the top end with almost a quarter of students achieving Grades 7-9.

We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 and the young, well-rounded adults that they have become. They thoroughly deserve the grades they have achieved, and this is thanks to their hard work, resilience and dedication.
