We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who has the ability to teach 3D Design/Design and Technology in KS3, KS4 and KS5. Students thrive on our practical curriculum. Projects ensure students are equipped with a wide range of wood and metal work skills as well more modern techniques such as CAD. Across the key stages themes currently include lighting design, mobile phone holders, pewter casting, architecture regeneration and sculpture park attraction development. Workshops are well equipped and include a laser cutter, 3D printer, braising hearth, Hegner saws and lathes.

The Art and Design department contains a wealth of subject specialists, at GCSE we deliver separate specialisms in 3D Design, Fine Art, Graphics, Photography and Textiles. The team, which includes our technician, is a passionate, respected and supportive department. We are looking to appoint someone who is confident that they can deliver high quality lessons within a workshop environment. The successful candidate will be able to feed into the wider character of our department.

You will be:

  • An excellent and flexible teacher of 3D Design or Design Technology
  • Able to teach Design Technology or 3D Design at KS3 and 4
  • Have experience of teaching Design Technology/3D Design in a workshop setting
  • Innovative in your approach to teaching.
