GCSE Results 2022

We are delighted for all our Year 11 students and their families, following a wonderful set of GCSE and Vocational results. 78% of our students achieved grades 9-4, and just under 30% of our students achieved top grades of 9-7 which is above the national average.

Students have experienced an unprecedented time in education, including school closures during their time in Year 10 when they started these GCSE qualifications. Despite this our students have achieved amazing results and we could not be prouder of the young adults they have become, the resilience they have shown, and of course, the results they have achieved.

Today we are celebrating some truly outstanding achievements, below are just a few of these students:

  • Sophie who achieved 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8
  • Kuba who achieved 6 grade 9s and 8s
  • Lumnwi who achieved 5 grade 9s and 8 grade 8s
  • Megan who achieved 4 grade 9s, 6 grade 8s and 1 grade 7

We are delighted that many of our students have chosen to continue their studies at our Waingels Sixth Form.

For all, these results are the accumulation of five years of study, learning and hard work. We are grateful for everything that this year group have given to our school; we wish them well as they embark on the next chapter of their lives especially to those students who will be taking up college courses with our local providers.

Head of School, Lindsey Humber said: “We are so very proud of all the work and achievements of our Year 11 students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted two years. I am thankful to all of our teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure students have the grades they need for their next steps in their education. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and the community for their ongoing support, recognising the strong partnership we have which supports students to reach their full potential.”
