The department (which is part of the Humanities faculty) has an excellent reputation and enjoys very high examination success. The department inculcates high expectations amongst all its students and has a strong commitment to improving teaching and learning.
One of the main strengths of the department is its open supportive and friendly relationships.
There is a strong emphasis on team teaching, class sharing and frequent lesson observation. All teachers in the department are encouraged to use, produce and share resources for classroom use. Most students in the department subscribe to The Business Review, The Economics Review and Economics Today.
