National School Performance Tables- October 2018

This week has seen the publication of the National School Performance Tables. These tables confirm that Waingels students have again performed incredibly well.

We are very proud to confirm that our Progress 8 score of 0.20 places us in the top 25% of schools nationally, and confirms that Waingels students make above average progress. Progress 8 is a measure of the progress every student makes between entering in Year 7 and completing their qualifications at the end of Year 11.

Similarly, our Attainment 8 score, a measure of how well pupils have performed across 8 subjects, is confirmed as 51.1 points which is significantly above the national average of 44.3 points.

We are also very pleased with our English Baccalaureate (EBacc) performance. 70% of our pupils make the most of the EBacc route which includes students studying and achieving a GCSE in English, Maths, Sciences, a Modern Foreign Language and a humanities subject (History of Geography). Our ‘EBacc average point score’ of 4.71 significantly exceeds the national average of 3.83.

We are really proud of our results, which are testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our fantastic students and staff.

We continue on our Better Never Stops journey, and look forward to continuing success over the coming years.
